Hi Rich, just to check is it the 1.5 petrol Kodiaq you’ve got? I’m still waiting for mine (dreadful service from the Skoda dealer) I also have a BMW a 220D x-drive so not looking forward to the costs and power loss of the Kodiaq. Can you keep us updated on your experience with the Kodiaq please. Thanks.
Yes it’s the 1.5 petrol. I don’t think there are many of the 2.0L left but I could see that being a thirsty car!
I think the mpg/fuel cost will balance out as petrol is cheaper than diesel. I also think the Kodiaq will be better than the BMW around town as it’ll warm up quicker. Maybe not as good on a long run but I’ll have to give it time to see what mpg we do get.
You have to drive the Skoda differently to the BMW, it likes being revved! I’m hoping sport mode once I start using it will be fine for pulling away at junctions etc but in normal mode it’s fine on a long run.
The infotainment is a bit of a pain to use over idrive, I will miss that but I’m sure in time I’ll get used to it.
What Skoda dealer did you use? Ours was excellent but the one we originally ordered from was lacking a bit with their communication.
