I am currently looking in to this. This is as far as I have got.
Cable is 6mm² minimum, may need 10mm² if the cable run is long (saves a bit of wasted power).
The control unit for the charge point must have double pole isolation and a double pole Type A RCD. Also needs over-current protection of at least 32A.
if you have any adaptations in your house currently like a through floor lift or ceiling g track hoists then you will most likely have the RCD as the local authority won’t install any adaptations without a minimum 32A over current
