Or they know full well, but if it’s offered at the right price, and ticks all of their boxes, then it’s no bad thing. Just down to personal choice. There were plenty of folks that we more than happy when Volvo used the scheme to dump a load of XC60’s.
I also have no problem with run-out models being dumped on the scheme, as long as they are at keen prices. With the move to touch screens for everything, there are several cars out now where many might prefer the previous model.
The negatives are that the prices are rarely as low as they should be (given the vast discounts that Motability Operations will get them for) and if they are stock models you can’t add options and might not be able to get your first choice colour.
