Only real question is can they rush it all through before the expected biggest defeat in modern history in the next election
Thats easy. Announce it as part of the Autumn Statement and get instructions disseminated throughout the DWP. They could be introducing new rules in job centres in January.
The Autumn Statement will be subject to a Parliamentary vote which will be only weeks away and then they can crack on and do what needs doing. Budgetary votes are Confidence votes, which means the parties will go all in to ensure their people are under control for that vote. Disobey and you’re kicked from the party. It’ll go through as the government has sufficient majority to push it through.
