How many times guys? I’ve actually ordered one last Wednesday…. Ordered one. Not on here, trying to find out information before ordering. I”ve ordered one…. Why’s no one listening, and still debating…. It is the 45 version, 100%, from a reputable AUDI dealership, anyway….. And any order taken since the beginning of August by any customer, not just Motability, I was told, and even though the people that have ordered the car August onwards, have left the audi showroom after placing an order for what they thought was going to be the 40 version not knowing, and their paperwork saying the 40 version, not knowing there in for a lovely surprise on delivery, cos they will be getting the 45, no matter what…. Now, don’t get me wrong, no doubts they are trying to shift all the old 40 versions, but only with customers who are quite happy to do this. And certainly not to people who only want a new build, and nothing else, which is where us lot come in…. So to re-iterate….. From the man ordered the car last Wednesday. As along as the order was placed no earlier than August this year, the motability customer will be getting, a 45 version 100%, especially if they are motability customer, as they are not allowed to palm off, on us, the outgoing model, I was told by the AUDI dealership manage, the rules are the rules, and each motability customer get’s a unique VIN number, showing their build date, and AUDI confirm an estimated delivery date. I get this forum is all about debate, but sometimes the answer should be accepted, especially from someone who has just ordered the car….. Facts are facts…. Why the constant debate?

The reason that many of us are querying this David is precisely for the reasons that @wmcforum states. We are interested for two reasons, the first because the 45 would be a popular choice on Motability but also because this approach would be a first for Motability. I don’t recall another example (but am happy to be corrected) where a dealer orders one model on the Motability system in the full expectation that it will be another, as the 45 will be a different Motability reference number. Unfortunately, what I do recall is countless examples of where dealers have given Motability customers duff info!

Others are being told that the 45 is coming on to the scheme soon, so I’m sure you will end up with the car that you expect to get, but if the dealer has inputted it on the Motability system as a 40 then, when the 45 comes on the scheme, they will need to cancel and re-submit as a 45. This is just admin and won’t affect the actual order, which is between the dealer and manufacturer. However, if the AP is different then it is highly likely that you will be liable for the new AP. Of course, it could be the same or less!
