An article is in today’s Times concerning this. Very simple and without the hyperbole of other reports.
A man was driving a MG ZS 6moths old when he had multiple warning lights come on and the car stopped responding. He tried to switch of/break/etc with no success and the car continued at a steady 15 mph. He called the Police who sorted the situation by placing a van in front and used the heavier vehicle to slow and stop the MG. The man mentioned he had mobility problems.
Apparantly MG are now in contact and assessing the situation.
