@Glos Guy I though that was very bizzare not to push this back by 5yrs. Its also rather unfair to put pressure on manufacturers, which will ultimately be passed down to dealer level. But, have no fear the bigges’t con of all of carbon off setting will allow manufacturers to buy carbon credits from one another!
Why is/has the government introduced such a scheme 6 and now 11 years before the ban is introduced, Ive not heard of such a scheme in anny other country. If anything will push manufacturing away surely this high on the list.
I look upon it in a similar way of going into a pie shop and asking for a steak pie only to be told I can’t because company policy is to sell more meat and potatoe pies. I’d be the first to tell them where to stick it ?
Likewise if manufacturers use Motability to meet their EV sales targets, at the expense of other fueled vehicle’s I’ll just go elsewhere.
