I think the delay/pushing back of a ban on ICE cars is as much to do with the charging infrastructure as it is to do with the ‘greener debate’. Like many, many people, I park my car ‘on street’ as I don’t have a driveway. This would obviously entail a trip to a charge point every few days or whatever & the simple fact is there are nowhere near enough places to recharge – nowhere near enough. Until the government, councils and the like pull their finger out & fund properly a decent, adequate recharging infrastructure – then a delay in ‘going green’ was always going to be the case because the country is woefully lacking in this department.
