As with all Motability ‘caps’, whether they be price or bhp, they are pointless. Motability both apply them and ignore the caps whenever it suits them, so why bother with them at all?
Keep in mind also that power to weight ratio is more relevant than bhp, especially as cars are getting heavier so need more bhp to get the same oomph out of them!
