I would never order a new car without an absolute minimum of 2 hours unaccompanied, when I could do motorway, A-roads and around town driving. Ideally a full day (which I usually get). I never lead with the fact that we are Motability customers. If they press me I throw them by saying “well, my wife is entitled to a Motability car but we are considering leaving the scheme and going private” (which is actually true). That throws them and they usually then treat me as a private customer. I always cringe when I read comments from people saying that they made their mind up after 30 minutes that it was the car for them. That’s a hell of a risk. Every new car impresses in the first 30 minutes but it’s only after a few hours that you start to find out how comfortable the seats really are, how it handles in different conditions etc etc. As I always say, order in haste, repent at leisure.

Spot on as usual GG 🙂
