    @kezo I couldn’t agree more I will always love the burble of a V8 but honestly the last few cars have been between 1 and 1.5 litre turbos, I don’t think V8, will be back on Motability anytime soon.
    I’d love to convince you about range anxiety, not because I want you to change to a BEV I just would like you to feel you had a choice without a hurdle as big as range anxiety. I think a long test drive before the switch is essential to anyone considering changing, something I have often dismissed as unnecessary in the past particularly when a test drive becomes less available, but switching to an EV needs a day at least, dealers need to be sensitive to that.

    @mike700

    The economy and the kit this time around are phenomenal in fact when I tell people of my savings over the last few years their eyes glaze over and the dash to a safe place, wishing to remove themselves from the presence of a fool. The good thing is the new car is going to be even cheaper as I get 6 hours at 7.5p pkw but the car only takes 5.25 for full charge should give me a cost of around £15 per 1000 miles so we will need the 20k allowance for the first time ever I think more exploration coming up

    @Tommy good choice I like it but it was the delivery stated of 52 + weeks that frightened me I have to stay alive that long ?

    I am the carer / driver for my wife who cannot drive due to disability
