Not alot to say other than excellent advice from from @joss and @Mfillingham.
However was in similar situation as my dad who had to temporarily give up his license a couple or so years back. Motability were great and there was no early terminaion fee (upto £250). On handing the car back, my father/parents were offered a taxi home, however my brother picked them up instead. Dad now gets £71 week (3692 year) into the bank.
My mother is lucky enough to have a lifetime DLA award and took out a Mobility car instead and dad is now a named driver since getting his licence back early this year.
