I totally agree and wrote to them to say the scheme is not fit for purpose for those requiring accommodation of a wheelchair or needing hand controls and a hoist- and was told apply for a grant . I want to know if I can keep my adaptations to fit to a new vehicle? Or can I get a loan to buy the vehicle off Motability?
I’ve said it many times on here, Motability are defending themselves from accusations of excessively high AP’s by saying the customer can apply for a grant. But not everyone is entitled to a grant, which is why we’ve made the decision to leave the scheme after 30 years. We’ve had enough of funding their excessive profits.
