    The market dictates what the manufacturers offer to MB.  Why would they offer a popular model at a discount when they’re selling enough to hold 6+ month waiting times on current orders?  However, the base models nearly never sell as well, usually because the spec people want (not need) will justify the additional monthly cost to upgrade.

     

    If, either, supply outweighs demand or demand on the scheme moves elsewhere (imagine Fords reaction if everyone on the scheme that used to have Fords then moved to Skoda) then the offers will improve.  It depends partly on the cars we choose over the next 12 months and how the market moves given that currently very few manufacturers can offer a guarantee of any car and any model within 2 months.  It’s either specific models/spec made and available in very limited numbers now (well a week or two) or on to the factory run at 3+ months minimum, often significantly longer.
