Checked in to Formby Hotel at 1500 Updated fuel consumption is 55.3 mpg on a 220 mile journey! Driving conditions- weather, quite a lot of rain as we travelled further north, otherwise quite cloudy and cool, kept the a/c off and set the cabin temp to 18*. The car is not necessarily at its ‘ Economical’ best on the Motorway- as quoted in the 500+ page Driver’s Handbook? I set it to Eco and kept the speed at 74 , which was quick enough for the weather and very heavy traffic conditions- overtaking freely and frequently, with lots of outside lane stuff! Acceleration was good – not pushed back in-the seat good, but better than the Tiguan, especially when I changed to Sport – when it really did push me back- fuel consumption is worse however in this mode.
I’d be more than happy @55 on the motorway, also nice to see you had a blast in sport mode.
