In Conclusion
bringing this to an end now what I have concluded. I like EV but it has issues and what I would say is when you look for one establish your required range now for me my wife couldn’t travel more than 70 or 80 miles so a 150 range is perfect. But you need that all year so I will be looking for an EV with 250 plus so that our required range is always achieved. As for the car well one hopes as it is the new Zafira elsewhere it will be improved upon and there is a larger battery elsewhere too.
I am not worried about the damp I can sort that out come spring and no it’s not leaks as it would happen in a car wash and it doesn’t. Good thing is you can wip all seats out and give it a good dry clean.
as a footnote after the extreme cold disappeared i immediately went up to 2.5 mpkw so it’s the minus cold that’s the problem and let’s be honest we can get some serious winters here.
But make sure you know the worst range not the best with whatever you look at I thought I knew the worst but no say 50% should cover all eventualities
