Hi @lab , I’ve had mine 2 weeks (exactly same, even down to colour).

Coming from a Golf with same engine power I’m surprised how quickly it sets off (up to around 30mph). But I do find the fuel economy dreadful though. It’s even putting me off driving it, which is frustrating knowing how much I’ll be paying over 3 years.

How are you finding the memory seat function? It was a big reason for me upgrading from my Golf as I also have severe back pain and once I’ve found my comfiest position, I hate having to try and find it again after my wife had adjusted it. The problem that I’ve found is that even though seat positions have been stored, the memory buttons on the door don’t work for me. The message appears on the screen stating which profile I’ve selected, but seat doesn’t move. If I access profiles on the screen and select mine (or wife’s) the seats do move to the correct position. The main issue with this is the fact that my wife is MUCH shorter than me. This means once I enter the car (seat is always far back for “comfort access”), as soon as I close door or turn on the car, I get crushed as it takes a while to get into the profile settings to stop it.

Other problems I’ve had already –

The powered boot refusing to close. It just reaches the fully closed position, then pops back open. It’s as though it’s detection an obstruction, even though there isn’t any. Once this happens it will repeatedly do this until I’ve driven a short distance.

The “units” switch to KPH and unlike old dials that showed MPH and KPH on the same dial, it only shows KPH. I have to enter the settings and on “Units” I have to click on KPH (as it’s already set to MPH) and then click MPH, then it’s correct.

The dashboard seems to reflect on to the windscreen worse than other cars I’ve owned, but this and other niggles are less important than the ones I’ve already mentioned.

It’s a lovely car, but I finding it very frustrating. The problem with 1/2 hour test drives, you don’t get to find out all these niggles.

I hope the latest update resolves some issues. Did the dealership update your software? The latest is 23rd June 2022. Mine is on software from 28th April 2022. I’ve ordered a high capacity USB memory stick to complete the update. I would have needed to purchase the memory stick anyway as all my music was on SD card for my last car, but Sportage doesn’t have SD card slot, just USB………located immediately above the wireless phone charging pad. I just hope there’s enough room to slot my phone under the USB stick.
