Okay, it has been a few months since I last wrote anything on this thread. I placed my BEV order 5 November 2021 (over 8 months ago), and soon after an order for the home charge point was placed.
The charger was to be a BP Pulse. Three months later it was cancelled as I was offered an Ohme charger. Honestly, the very next day, BP said they were ready to come out and fit.
Then the real pain happened. I was asked to make a contribution of £1k. I had a conversation with Motability and got that down to just over £700, which I feel is a rip off.
Yesterday, my Ohme was installed.
And the install was much simpler than was envisaged, rather than going through the garden they used the loft space, which I suggested right at the start. There is a gulf between fitters and pen pushers.
I have no receipt, no idea what I have paid for but the charger is in. And yes, I will be talking to Motability again.
Still no sign of the VW. None, zilch, nowt, nothing, sweet FA and no idea when it might appear.
