Aye, it took me a minute to recognise the platinum blond Robert Shaw. I’m afraid he’s always be the notorious scene-stealer ‘Quint’ in Jaws for me, which is shameful on my part considering his Henry VIII in A Man for All Seasons.
My favourite Bond film is currently Goldfinger, though Moonraker (as foolishly diverting as it’s namesake and often considered an abomination by serious Bond aficionados) has a place in my heart, probably more from associated memories of watching it at the cinema with my dad and older brother. But I’m not wedded to Goldfinger as my final choice – as I said, I’m looking forward to seeing the somewhat more ‘serious’ later Bond films again. I haven’t seen any of the Daniel Craig’s yet, but my sister (a keen fan of Chuck Norris) rates them highly.
