Sorry Richard but I’ve only bought cars I’ve turned back and took some pride in and not one was a German premium model.
That’s very personal and individual and no-one can take that away from you or me. Don’t ever change!
The point I made is that there’s this assumption, that you fell back on, that those marques are somehow superior by their very nature.
And if you judge by cold hard facts, which are less about subjective issues and badge pride, that argument doesn’t stack up.
Im totally with you, a car should be more than a household appliance. For me it’s an emotional purchase.
I just don’t agree it still stands that Merc/BMW/Audi are superior to humbler marques necessarily, and the cold, hard facts don’t support that tired old cliche- time and time again.
