Debbie, Very sorry to here about your experience. It can vary and personally if they dismissive then i don’t want to use them. So far that’s been the nearest ford and closest Mercedes dealers for me.
Mazda share the same building with ford and they been great plus I’ve not ordered one or even had a test drive after looking at those on my list to consider and deeming them not suitable or things i need did not come as standard, like adaptive cruise control.
You have to pass threw the ford dealers to get to mazda and they always ask do you need help and i just reply no i’m here to look at mazda’s only. With a big smile on my face.
100% i will never ever get a ford from my local dealer. I don’t think it’s because of my disability just the fact your on the scheme that means they are not interested, even though they standing around chatting to each other with no customers at all.. They lucky i ain’t their manager.
However my local honda and vw and Nissan dealers have been great and always welcoming.
Kia do have supply issues and long wait times right now as do many car maker’s , so it might be correct they got no cars, but theres a way to do it.. As an ex sales person, politeness is always key as you never know what’s what in the future.
Citroën was all good until i got the car then was down hill from there and i’d never get another either.
Mercedes ain’t local to me and i had some time to kill. So visited a few dealers while in that area, while waiting for the family to watch a movie as they had some free tickets.
Like you, they said the mb sales person was busy. I only had a few questions any sales person could answer about specs and mentioned this to the receptionist and got a no you will have to wait, at that point i just left as I had other dealers to visit. Just as well i didn’t make the journey specifically to mercedes or they’d be on the list of no chance will I deal with you.
One could complain but is it really due to disability, I don’t think it is most of the time, as before i have had issues when not on the scheme and you looking to buy a car and don’t fall for there sales tricks or they think you cannot afford anything but the cheapest car they sell.
I try not to waste their time but when they waste mein and with my condition that’s what happen’s. I refuse to use them. So thats my advice.
