I have to say, china did not wait for west brands to get there to get better, China started cleaning its act up over 10 years ago, they are so far ahead in the electric car game that more electrics are purchased their than ice cars. its the west that are lagging behind.
it was not tesla and other manufactures that revolutionised china, it was the other way around, china were pushing them out longer than the west.
China have been at the front of renewables for quite some time now, I mean in a lot of cities, you can walk into a train station and deposit a bag of alu cans and recieve your ticket for the train free just for doing recycling. they are well ahead of the game tbh.
