Another lovely morning – Plenty of Sunshine and some light cloud.
We’ve been following the news regarding the Colorado wild fires over the past couple of days. DH has a lot of friends and work colleagues living around the Broomfield area (the company he works for has Divisions in Boulder and Broomfield and DH has been over there countless times in the last 30 years). Many were evacuated and all have now been accounted for, though no news so far as to whether their properties have survived intact. Looking at the ‘fire-zone’ maps it looks like they have all been lucky, so fingers crossed. Now they’re having to deal with heavy snow falls and tonight it’s dropping to -19c (yes, minus nineteen)!
Initial news reports said ‘No casualties’, but this morning it seems there are 3 missing presumed dead. Again, snow falls aren’t helping the Search and Rescue teams.
We might sometimes complain about the rain, but there’s a lot to be said for our damp and boring weather.
