It’s always happened. Nothing new. Remember the Hyundai Santa’s Fe came on briefly before they changed to a new model. I dont see it as “dumping”. It can give us a chance at cars we sometimes couldn’t get.

That’s also how I see it Olpk. We have all been (rightly) criticising the poor choice at present, so any additions are most welcome. As you say, if using the scheme to offload end of line cars means that we can get cars that we wouldn’t otherwise then it’s a win win. Nobody has to chose one if they don’t appeal.

the old santa fe was a good motor. no idea what the newer ones are like, but going back to maybe 14 years ago i nearly bought one.

My mate has a new model Santa Fe Premium and I’ve been in it countless times. I have to say that the only thing that it has going for it is space. Yes it has tons of kit but it’s quantity over quality. Although a top end model, it still is obvious that it’s from a budget brand. The seats are poor. Having done some long journeys in it I just can’t get comfortable. I certainly wouldn’t buy one but I could see it being a very popular car on Motability.
