It’s the fact that companies that buy PHEW’s in the UK to take advantage of the tax relief but don’t bother to plug the things in and this is what’s given PHEW’s a bad light here.
Where you and I as private users would jump at the chance to drive electric with a petrol backup main stream business just can’t be bothered to plug the things in every night when they get home from work, more so, when the business foots the fuel bill.
100 mile range would be fantastic with petrol back up but a 100 miles will mean a big battery that will increase the cost so what chance have we and will private buyers or Motability get any tax relief other than what we get for ICE cars.
