Dom, this receptionist needs taking to task, both because of his/her obvious bias against Motability customers and because of his/her potentially dangerous advice. I would be speaking to the dealer principal who can get changes made. Obviously Motability would handle the matter too if you preferred.
Agreed. I recall that Motability customers have had similar issues with VW dealers over AdBlue top ups.
