I use Morland rubber cable cover mat when charging on my 7kwh home charger, albeit during octopus off peak hrs and unplug around 7am. Never had an issue in the 7 months I’ve had the EV.
Speaking of, how does that work – we’re with Octopus too, and we’ve seen “Octopus Go” (which i assume is what you’re referring to?) – but there doesn’t seem to be an option for it on the webpage, as an addon?
