I tend to drive considerably more relaxed in an automatic. To me, manual is the “sporty” way of driving, the more engaging way. I certainly drive slower now than i did before, with our first automatic.
That said: i did have to get used to the DSG in the beginning. Due to not “feeling” the gearshift (other than hearing), it happened that i misjudged how quick i was going already. Took a day or two to get used to.
