I got my new Tiguan 1.5 Elegance automatic in March and I love it. It is so comfortable which is important to me because I have spinal stenosis and sciatica down both legs. My last car was a Nissan Qashqai and driving it made my pain worse because the seats were so uncomfortable and I hurt my back getting in and out of it. I love the panoramic sunroof and the electric boot means I can use my boot now.
The fuel economy is a bit worse than the Nissan Qashqai I had but I would rather have that than a car which made my pain worse. To me there is not a dramatic difference in the fuel economy it is still quite good in my opinion. I’m not having to refuel constantly and I do mostly local driving than motorway driving.
Obviously fuel economy is a consideration and it depends on how many miles you do. I hope you get a car that meets your needs and you enjoy. Please let me know if you have any questions about the Tiguan Elegance.
