Thanks coxy. I wasn’t aware of that. If it’s the same performance and better mpg then that sounds like a win-win, as long as refinement isn’t affected (is it still a twin turbo?). I am hoping that the engine will be quiet, given that road noise seems to be a notable weakness in the X1. BMW seem to skimp on sound deadening with lower end models. The 5 Series that I had was near silent – and it was a diesel!
