I think this is a mistake by the government, as they have now made petrol a much more desirable option. It is not a very good look and Q2 will be interesting, as will be manufacturers reactions, do they have sufficient margin to bring some models below 35k? I would have seriously considered the Kona 64kwh but it will now depend on its availability on the scheme and its AP. the 39kwh simply does not have the range to make it viable so possibly another petrol. There has been a huge backlash from the motor industry. A reduction of 500 pounds and a limit of 40k would have been a more sensible option. A bad day for motoring!
