Yeah, I just don’t see the point in keeping ICE and just putting an extra L motor in the train. If I went hybrid (and like you guys want to go full EV next time) I would go trad like the Kuga, L for local and petrol for long journeys when required.
I think the reasoning behind this is to get the instant acceleration of an EV and avoid the crap CVT gearboxes that many hybrids have. Will be interesting to see how it works in real life
