I like your thinking, honestly I do. The problem is that should your plan come to pass the discount would have to be handed out by dealerships, who operate under strict allocations, they can’t suddenly order a 100 extra vehicles.
A better reality would probably be ‘write to your MP to have have benefits linked to RPI and not CPI’, that way we would all feel the effect. Only a small one but ‘from tiny acorns’
