    Hi Shaun,

Have the 1.4 dsg in a Touran and am getting the 1.5 dsg soon, both 148 bhp. I have found the 1.4 to be a peach. Very quiet and refined around town and cruising, only raising its voice at full beans. very tractable – better than a diesel CRV that I ran for several years and that was a good engine. It will pull from 1200 rpm, which equates to 30 mph in 4th. It is easy for the speed to creep up un noticed! Even in this bus, overtaking is no problem, especially in sport mode. 2100 rpm at 70 and silent. The 2 cylinder shut down is hard to detect. Has averaged 38-42 mpg and I don’t dawdle. There is none of the hesitation which has been a reported problem with almost all VAG engines/ dsg as they made a horlicks of the WLTP compliance retuning and software. Allegedly fixed by software updates. I am hopeful that the 1.5 is now as good as the 1.4. Will find out soon if allowed by the Stazi.
