Chris if driven for short journeys PHEV can be a much more environmentally option than an ICE car. 99% of our journey’s are less than 30 miles return so a PHEV would be ideal for us. Unfortunately my wife, the notability customer wants the car she wants, so its a petrol xc40 for us.
It is a shame the XC40 PHEV is so expensive, if we did not tow a caravan we are prime customers for a full EV, you do realise if I had a full EV with my mileage 3389 miles so far and Octopus Go 5 pence @kWh tariff my running cost would be £42.37, our old Ford Kuga Powershift diesel @40 mpg £453.28
