Does anyone else remember the Findings of the 2016 UN review of Tory treatment of the disabled: “The Committee published its report on 6 October 2016. The Committee concluded that Government reforms had led to “grave and systematic” violations of the rights of disabled people.”
And the Tory Governments reaction to the findings: “The Government published a robust response alongside the Committee’s report, stating that it “strongly disagrees” with the findings.”
“Like other UN human rights conventions, the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) does not contain any mechanism that allows the Committee to enforce its recommendations.”
