Our Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV we normally achieve 33-34miles on a full, in the morning it was estimating 33 miles range, switched the heater on and it dropped to 28 miles immediately, I realise the range meter is an estimate but it is a start, however, when I use B5 regeneration I usual ended up with the estimated figure.
This morning I switched the heater on 22 degrees, immediately lost 5 miles, I at some point I had to switch to Charge Mode to enable the engine to top up the batteries on the move. This time I used 1.7 litres of fuel, car recording just over 90 mpg and a used a full charge of electric (£0.50 off peak for a full 10kWh charge ), normally this journey cost me a £0.50 electric charge, today the same journey required £1.85 of petrol in addition to the £0.50 electric total cost £2.35, however it is still cheaper than my old Motability ford Kuga diesel £4.76 for the same journey, I am better off by £2.41 but I still feel the pain
Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.
