This is the second time in its short life that Volvo are having supply issues with the 1.5 3 cylinder engine.
Back last September/October when we were choosing, the T3 was very thin on the ground with a lead time of 5 to 6 months.
There was such a lack of T3 demonstrators available that we ended up trying one while on holiday in Shropshire 150 miles from home.
I did explain this to the Motability salesman who was quite happy to let us try it even though there wouldn’t be a sale in it. In fact he recommended the T4 engine!
I found the T3 very good actually, smooth quiet and powerful enough. I just felt I might be missing out by not having the T4 ?
