I wouldn’t expect anything back as you can’t prove that you aren’t using the car, at the end of the day the rules are there but a lot of people aren’t adhering to them and people still need to drive to get shopping etc if they can’t do it online. I was surprised to even get the £50 insurance rebate to be honest and I think asking for more is in bad taste. I’ve saved a fortune in not having to pay for petrol so I’m actually better off as are many people that I know. Of course there will always be people who struggle but asking for a rebate will just make it more expensive in the future which is already seen by the AP that have increased already. Motability might have flaws but on the whole it’s a great scheme and a lifeline to many.
