Totally agree with your sentiments, Carers Allowance is a total farce. I had to give up a job where I made more in less than four hours than I get for in excess of 90 hours caring. I also lost a third of my works pension because I retired early. If the local council or the government was to pay people to do what I do, it would cost them a fortune even if only paying the minimum wage. I definitely feel carers are being used as cheap labour.
