As I used to go into my local Tesco every day pre Covid, I know most of the staff and they know me. They allow me to go against the flow in the one way system as most of my shopping seems to be done at the same end of each aisle. When I get to the checkout queue I am called to the front and directed to the quickest till, they bring a chair along for me to sit in, while they scan and pack everything.
I’ve given them chocolates as thanks, given cash for the food banks, given chocolates to the post lady and even given the binmen beer. This hasn’t gone down well in the household as my youngest (who works in a different branch of Tesco) moans that I haven’t given her chocolates ??
