I am halfway through repairing my raised decking, the supports and boards were in various states of rot and completely unsafe, this was not a diy project it was essential repair to enable us to go outside. I’ve been taking the boards up to expose the undercarriage. While I was able to get some boards and treated wood from a click and collect through Wickes (very stressful), everything is a different size and far from a straight replacement. I’m proud of my work so far and am wearing a warm glow of making do and mend. The only tools I have are a claw hammer, tenor saw and thankfully an electric screwdriver.
