@Wigwam, it’s not all aspiration it’s all there in front of us. It is plausible, possible and achievable.
The half time cup of tea example is a hangover from the coal fired power station days, Electricity has always been an on demand product, its too expensive to store, as we are finding out from the price of batteries that go into these vehicles, our electricity now comes from so many sources, onshore wind, offshore wind, solar, hydro, nuclear, biomass, gas and coal, capacity is so high now. So high that this Government decided to remove funding from onshore wind. Remember Economy 7 and storage radiators, the companies have long been looking for something to do with this capacity at low demand points, ie through the night.
