Apparently VW have either stopped making 3 dr cars, or soon will – more ‘practical’ SUVs and 4/5 dr Family Cars are all the rage these days. The 3dr Golf is one of those casualties – as far as I can see their 3 dr models are pretty much all ‘Stock only’.
Purely from a personal perspective I thinks that’s a real shame because I much prefer the look of 3 dr cars – I’ve had 2 x 2dr Vauxhall GTCs and my current Golf GT is 3dr. All those extra doors at the back just spoil the look. 😉
I had hoped to get another Golf when this one goes back, but now . . . ???
Further – Over the next couple of years Audi are not only dropping their 3 door models (Adios, TT; Au revoir, R8), but most of their ICE cars completely in favour of fully electric – their ambition is to compete with Tesla.
