Nice try Mr Rutherford and this may work but two things:
1) It would almost certainly damage both marques the same way the X-Type/Mondeo collaboration did (no two ways about it, it just did), and,
2) Not sure anyone here is really bothered if Motability will not consider either.
Last year when it was reported of JLR’s woes, I contacted them via email and social media explaining that there’s a serious, untapped market here within Motability, if only for the lowest of the low of models. Sales would improve, there’d be more JLR’s on the road and we would have choice of British favourites. Everyone would be happy. All except that miserable hack at the daily fail.
The response all round was very vague as to why but was firm in that JLR + Motability = Definitely not.
A shame but there it is.
