It is a very good point Macca makes and for those ordering now and happy to have solid paint instead of metallic, it’s a great deal.
However, ?, with a marketing head on, it could be a way of testing the water. By this, I mean it’s not unheard of in sales to introduce adding a free, popular upgrade at a cost instead of increasing the base price. When this is widely accepted then the usual price hikes are re-introduced. So in around 12 months time, we could see metallic as a cost plus the AP price hikes we are used to.
I really don’t want to be a Doubting Thomas here but it’s a possibility.
Only time will tell. ????
