The UK’s petroleum fuel imports are primarily sourced from the United States and Norway followed by Libya and Nigeria. The UK still refines North sea oil, with most exported however, up to half of the oil produced in the North Sea is expected to be incompatible with UK refineries by 2035 (unless we build new ones Ed!)

Dangote Refinery began supplying jet fuel to the UK, with the latesr jet fuel cargo from Nigeria arriving at Milford Haven in the UK during the final week of March. This comes as European buyers turn to alternative sources, with demand decling from the middle east since 2024

The UK currently sources around 40-50% of its natural gas from its own territory, with the North Sea accounting for an estimated 50%. The remaining UK gas supplies are imported from US and Norway, which includes shared fields.

Major destinations terminals for european oil products include the UK, France, Netherlands and Spain.
