I don’t see any signs that Motability has consulted on proposed changes, done any form impact assessment etc. They’ve just made their decision just like that. Might’ve been a nice gesture for the first cut to come from Andrew Miller’s wages….

As Motability are a monopoly there’s no competition I have asked my MP if MPs can investigate after all it’s  taxpayers money ultimately going to the banks that own Motability. I don’t doubt this is a commercial legitimate decision but given the position Motability are in I think they have more of a responsibility to be careful. How tone deaf to simply say if you need more than 10k miles SIMPLY PAY MORE yeah cos we’re all so flipping flush with cash not to mention excess increases too.

Will interesting to see what my LiDem MP has to say.

This is the fault of Labour and their changes but Motability could’ve been more creative rather than stabbing us in the back.

Now they’re trying to launch a scheme where we allow each other to use our EV chargers not for free obviously. The way Motability areareing there’ll be no goodwill left.

Having a Motability EV gave me my freedom back but this 10k limit is cruel esp for us rural location types. 12 Mile round trip to the GP, 20 miles if they send me to the other surgery, 60 miles to hospital, 100 miles to private psychiatrist (cos NHS and mental healthcare don’t mix). I love heritage  railways days out neeguess I won’t be going to Wales etc. It’ll be do hospital trips then see if there’s a

I’m sure 10k a year is more than enough for some but when you’re taking 3 people to medical stuff. My son has diabetes, coeliac, mental health problems more th and he’s confirmed autistic every one of those diagnosis is a clinic every 3 months. Plus mine plus the wife’s.

Hopefully something is done about this before my an 6 tyres you’re paying for them which is heinous too, plus the excess rise and they’ve kneecapped us at every opportunity.

High excess mileage is quite an incentive to reprogram the mileage in the car, isn’t it.
