Hi I am struggling with all this.I am currently a year into motability scheme and it’s a fantastic thing.I have a vauxhall crossland and it’s been great.Unfortunately my health has deteriorated considerably in last 12 months.I have arthritis in multiple joints, plates and pins in back (old surgery that’s now causing pain)a recent hip replacement that was done this Feb but my femerol nerve was damaged during surgery and been left in awful pain.It now means i can’t lift my left leg without pulling it up with my hands or using a strap(awaiting a second opinion of what can be done) I need both knee joints replaced and surgery on feet and hand (all arthritis)and now neuropathy in hands, feet and legs….just call me Lucky!!!However apart from all this I can still drive. It has now become unbelievably difficult and painful to do so, getting in and out of car etc.I need a higher seat position and headroom also as I need to sit on a wedge for my back and more room in the front so my knees are clear of the steering wheel.Basically the crossland has now become very uncomfortable to use and been times that I have been brought yo tears trying to just exit the car.I use crutches or a frame all the time and now i have had to start using a wheel chair if going out shopping, hospital, seeing family.I need a vehicle that obviously is more suited.I have seen a Toyota Proace SUV that’s more like a van and the height for driving is perfect,it’s on the scheme which is great, its automatic which i have now and very roomy as it will need to carry Me ,partner ,(who’s my carer) wheelchair, frame and or crutches,2 grandchildren who we take to nursery and school several times a week and all that entails, childseat, booster seat, pushchair etc etc. However I will still need help with financing it with the Advance payment and it was suggested accelerator and breaking done by hands with some adaption equipment having to possibly be installed.Does anyone if this is possible and do they fund that much with the foundation grant?….jeez sorry you didn’t want my life story!sorry folks🫤

Motability is gemerally very good if you need to change a vehicle on health grounds, write everything down, as you have done here and give them a ring, explaining the car is no longer suitable for x reasons.

I broke my contract early due to personal circumstances earlier this year. It was supposed to be £250 to cancel, but that was reduced to £50.

Well worth talking to Motability about your circumstances and maybe mention a WAV?
