My experience – may or may not help?
When I was working, there was a huge choice of cars available for us to lease, with some monthly payments lower than our monthly car allowance and some were higher.
We were allowed to go higher than our allowance by 30%, with the extra coming out of our own pocket.
My sales guys and gals inevitably went for the best BMW or Audi they could get whereas my management team had quite a few Volvo’s between them, mainly XC 40’s & 60’s and I have had 5 Volvo’s, an XC 70, an XC 90, two XC 60,’s and a V60 , all extremely reliable and comfortable,
The BMW’s were less reliable ie they were ‘off the road’ much more than the Volvo’ but this may be because of the way they were driven, not the manufacture?
Costs overall were little different, between the two manufacturers!
